How tall are you?

I’m 5’4”, but I’m short waisted. A tip I use if you’d like to look taller in photos, is to have the photographer crouch down and shoot up.

Did you build this site yourself & is it hard?

I did! I transferred my original blog content over from Blogger (also very user friendly) with minimal issues. The actual building was pretty simple. Squarespace made things much simpler, as I have no idea how to code. I also looked at blogs I like to follow, to get ideas of the layouts and colors I find appealing. I also recommend searching YouTube for how-to videos. It was so much fun to put together and you feel very accomplished. It’s also MUCH more cost effective to do yourself.

How can you afford to blog?

I’m actually going to write a post about this so I can include more details. I typically take photos with a tripod or ask my friends and fellow bloggers to help. I also edit them on my phone. I style and photograph pieces I would have purchased anyway and use cashback and coupon sites like RetailmeNot and Rakuten. I also have a rewards credit card, but I don’t encourage everyone to get credit cards-know yourself. You can also reach out to local shops and see if they’d like to collaborate and loan you pieces so that you both have pictures of the pieces.
