Date Night In Ideas

Quarantine Date Night Ideas (2).png

We are all well aware that staying in pretty much sums up 2020, so I won’t ramble on about that. What I will say, is that it has made us need to get more creative when it comes to things to do, especially for date nights. My bf and I met this year, so we’ve had plenty of time to ask a lot of questions, and also spend time thinking of new date nights.

Wine Tasting/Sampling - This could be done with beers, ciders, or even sparkling juices if you’re not a drinker. We made a charcuterie board at home to pair with it and had a lot of fun. My boyfriend broke out the nice glasses and read each label before we sampled. We kept it to 4 wines, so we could finish them throughout the week and not waste any.

Homemade Pizza Night- You can each make your own medium pie or collaborate on one. I went for Pepperoni and extra cheese + Goat Cheese, while Ryan did a Canadian Bacon and pineapple. I have to say, he may have converted me to team pineapple pizza with this one! We did a homemade crust, and the dough only needs 30 min to an hour in the fridge. We went and grabbed toppings, but this is a great time to play a game or catch up on any Netflix episodes. The recipe we used was perfect for 2 medium pies. Linking it HERE, because it was so good & so simple!

Get Crafty- We’ve done Gingerbread houses and carved pumpkins so far this year. We each work on our own and turn it around to reveal at the end. Trader Joes and Food Lion both have really affordable Gingerbread houses and I love how festive they look sitting out-for as long as they last.

Karaoke- This doesn’t require a lot of equipment and it you’re like us…zero vocal talent. You could get microphones, or go all out with a kitchen spoon. We simply pick the song we want to sing, and search “song title” karaoke, on YouTube to pull up lyrics and background music on our phones.

Murder Mystery/Cold Case Files-My friend Michelle loves ordering these on Amazon and trying to solve them with her husband! If you’re in to crime shows or Unsolved Mysteries on TV, this one is for you! Each person in your friend group could order one and after you’ve solved one, just pass it along!

Learn something New- speaking of YouTube, you can learn anything on there. If there’s ever a trip you’ve wanted to plan together and would like ideas, or you’d like to learn a new skill, or create something together, all you have to do is a quick search for it.

Let me know if you try any of these out, or share some of your fun date night in ideas.
